• Bentonite
  Bentonite is a natural clay - although the thought of eating clay for health seems odd to some people, bentonite has actually been used medicinally for centuries by various traditional medicine disciplines.
  
  Bentonite is one of the most effective detoxifying agent for the intestine - it is able to absorb much of the toxins in the gastrointestinal tract while remaining inert or undigested.
  
  
• Psyllium Seed Husk
  Psyllium is derived from the seed of a Plantago plant. It is a bulk-forming fiber rich in mucilage (a thick gluey plant substance that can soothe and protect irritated and inflammed intestinal tissues). Psyllium absorbs water to keep the stool hydrated and soft - this causes a reflex contraction in the bowel that promotes emptying.

  Studies have also suggested that psyllium can lower total cholesterol level.
  
  

• Apple Pectin
  Pectin is found in plant cell walls and in the outer skin and rinds of vegetables and fruits (in this case, apples). Pectin has gel-forming characteristics that have mild laxative and cholesterol-lowering properties.
  
  
• Diatomaceous Earth
  Food grade diatomaceous earth is a safe and non-toxic material that can destroy intestinal parasites.
  
  
• Wheat Grass
